There's a First for Everything - First Blog
The Time Has Come . . .
After much prompting from my husband, Jackson, I'm finally creating a blog.
I am quasi-retired from Interior Design and the World of Art where I have been putting my attention for over 30 years. We live just outside Nashville, on a treed lot in a beautiful lake neighborhood. As with most people, we have unfinished rooms in our house that are being repurposed and that makes "now" a good time to start my blog.
We have a Florida Room off the back of our home that has served as my Design Office for the past six years. I also have an Art Studio in the basement that I'm not using as much as I use to. So I'm going to create a Workshop for myself in the former Art Studio (preserving the right to paint if I feel the urge). The Florida Room is going to morph into a Bohemian Indoor-Outdoor Hangout, where we can enjoy the trees through the three-walls of windows, along with some good tunes. It goes without saying - there will be Wine.
So we've moved a few things around trying to get a feel for the new space. We're thinking a new ceiling, some french doors to the left that open to the deck, get the office drawers and desk downstairs and then the fun begins.
So, I'll see you soon
